The KD-FIX418A-3 is a 4K/18G HDMI fixer and booster designed to resolve common HDMI integration issues and maintain reliable signal delivery. It stabilizes HDMI handshakes, manages HDCP authentication, and regenerates TMDS to recover degraded signals. The unit also de-embeds audio for connection to audio DSPs, amplifiers, and sound bars.
Key features include HDMI signal correction, EDID handshake management, forced hot plug detection, and optional 4K to 1080p down-conversion. The device provides audio extraction via 3.5mm analog stereo and optical S/PDIF outputs and supports advanced surround formats such as DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD.
