Description
The KD-PS22UTx is an HDBaseT transmitter and 2×1 presentation switcher designed to extend HDMI and control signals over a single CAT5e/6 cable. It provides a local HDMI loop output and extends 4K/UHD video, USB 2.0, IR, RS-232, and LAN to a compatible HDBaseT receiver. The unit supports HDCP 2.2 and modern HDR formats to preserve content integrity and image quality.
The transmitter supports two HDMI inputs selectable by push-button or TCP/IP control and includes USB Host and Device connectivity to enable soft-codec systems. It features audio de-embedding, EDID management with 15 internal EDIDs, auto-sensing of active sources, and KD-App Ready network discovery. The unit also supports KD-CX800 KDPlug & Present automation and native integration with KD-X100MRx and KD-UPS52U receivers/presentation switchers.
Video performance includes support for 4096×2160 and 3840×2160 at 24/25/30/60Hz with 4:4:4 color sampling and up to 18Gbps bandwidth. Visually lossless compression is applied when required to fit HDBaseT channel constraints and a 10G pass-thru mode enables uncompressed 10.2Gbps signal extension when available. HDR10 and Dolby Vision metadata are supported and deep color modes include 12-bit at 30Hz and 8-bit at 60Hz where applicable.
Connectivity extends beyond HDMI to include USB 2.0 extension, bi-directional IR via 3.5mm sensor/emitter connectors, bi-directional RS-232 via 3-pin phoenix terminal, and a shielded HDBaseT RJ45 link connector. The transmitter handles TMDS re-clocking, HDCP handshakes, EDID control, and Hot Plug Detection through its Full Buffer System. Power over HDBaseT (PoH) allows the unit to be powered from the receiving or presentation switch unit.
The KD-PS22UTx fits installation scenarios such as conference rooms, classrooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums where centralized HDMI distribution and USB/soft-codec support are required. It supports surround audio formats including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos, and DTS-HD Master Audio for advanced AV systems. Integration with Key Digital control ecosystems and third-party control systems is provided via IR, RS-232, and TCP/IP open API.
The transmitter is housed in a compact black metal enclosure and offers straightforward deployment using a single CAT5e/6 cable. Installation is aided by KD-App Ready network detection and CEC Manager integration for basic display control. The device is CE, RoHS, WEEE, EAC compliant and is designed for reliable operation in professional AV installations.
