Download Manual The KD-UFS42 is a universal-format 4×4 presentation switcher kit designed to simplify AV presentation systems. It combines two HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort input, and one VGA input with analog L/R audio to provide flexible source connectivity. The kit includes an HDBaseT receiver for extended distance display connection and mirrored outputs for audience and presenter views.
The unit supports Ultra HD/4K resolutions up to 4096×2160 or 3840×2160 at 24/25/30/60Hz and handles signals up to 18Gbps bandwidth. It includes auto-switching, CEC Manager for basic display control, and audio de-embedding to analog balanced/unbalanced outputs and PCM digital output. KD-App readiness and KDMS Pro configuration options simplify deployment and control integration.
Performance features include Full Buffer System processing for TMDS re-clocking, HDCP 2.2 compatibility, and an internal EDID library with 15 presets including 4K HDR handshakes. Deep color support covers UHD/4K 30Hz 4:4:4 12-bit and 60Hz 4:2:2 12-bit profiles. Signal extension over HDBaseT supports up to 40m / 131ft at 4K and up to 70m / 230ft at 1080p.
Connectivity is comprehensive – two HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort input, one VGA input with L/R analog audio, mirrored HDMI and HDBaseT outputs, analog balanced/unbalanced L/R audio de-embed, and PCM digital audio output. Control options include IR, RS-232, TCP/IP, trigger voltage, and front-panel push buttons. The included KD-X40MRx HDBaseT receiver accepts extended signals and can be powered over HDBaseT from the switcher.
The KD-UFS42 is suited to huddle spaces, conference rooms, classrooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums where simplified source selection and audience/presenter displays are required. It supports PTZ camera integration via KD-CAMUSB and KD-XUSB2 for USB extension when camera control is needed. Integration with KD-AMP220 and KD-CAMUSB enables consolidated control of switching, audio processing, and camera control in a single UI.
Installation is installer-friendly with half-rack width form factor and rack and under-table mounting ears included. The unit provides status monitoring LEDs and comprehensive EDID management to streamline compatibility across displays and sources.
