Description
The KONA IP25 SDI to SMPTE ST 2110 IP Bidirectional Converter from AJA provides bidirectional uncompressed video conversion in an 8-lane PCIe Gen 4.0 form. It uses two SFP cages that support 10/25 GbE SFPs and includes a GbE RJ45 port. The KONA IP25 carries the control load instead of placing it on the host PC. It supports SMPTE ST 2110 configuration and control using both in-band and out-of-band control.Key Features

Uncompressed Throughput
The KONA IP25 supports multiple uncompressed SMPTE ST 2110 video streams at rates up to UHD 4K60 over IP using dual 25 GbE SFP cages. It also supports up to 16-channel audio and data input and output.

The KONA IP25 fits into any ST 2110 infrastructure, using dual 25 GbE SFPs for both transmitting and receiving with hitless redundancy to offer support for:

Complete Control
All the ST 2210 configuration, control, and timing functions are handles on the KONA IP25 itself, reducing the load on the host computer. Configuration and control options include in-band/media network via SFPs or out-of-band/control network via RJ45 choices.
AJA Developer SDK
AJA offers two SDK (software development kit) methods, both available for macOS, Windows, and Linux. The AJA Open Source Developer path provides the quickest and easiest way to get up and running. Offering access to proprietary technologies and support, the AJA Developer Program path requires a signed agreement.
HDR NLE/VFX Software Support
The KONA IP25’s desktop software supports HDR across many third-party professional video software applications, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, and Avid Media Composer. Use the SDP file to take advantage of SDR/HDR transfer characteristics, colorimetry, and luminance.
Apple silicon Support
The AJA desktop software is optimized for the latest Apple silicon processors, offering native support for AJA macOS drivers, plug-ins, AJA Control Room, Control Panel, and System Test.
Mac Pro Compatible
The KONA IP25 is fully compatible with the Apple Mac Pro, including support for AJA Control Room with Metal compatibility, supporting high-resolution workflows up to UHD 4K.

AJA desktop software supports Macs using either Intel or Apple silicon processors running macOS 13.X (Ventura) or later as well as older versions from macOS 11.x (Big Sur) with Intel processors. Supported systems also include:
