Description
The KW-14R is a wireless HDMI receiver designed to deliver full HD video and multi-channel audio to displays within indoor environments. It receives a wireless HDMI stream from a compatible KW-14T transmitter and supports up to four receivers per transmitter for multi-display deployments. The unit is compact and intended for simple integration into AV systems that require cable-free signal distribution.
Key features include support for up to 1080p at 60Hz, Deep Color up to 12-bit, and a maximum data rate of 6.75Gbps. The KW-14R uses AES-128 encryption to secure the wireless link and employs automatic frequency selection to reduce RF interference. Connection capacity and automatic EDID adjustment enable multiple receivers and multi-screen support without manual EDID management.
Performance specifications include an unobstructed wireless range up to 30m (100ft) and system latency below 1ms for virtually instantaneous video. The unit supports RGB and YCbCr digital video and VESA modes up to 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz. Audio from HDMI is passed through and supports common compressed and uncompressed formats up to the rates specified by the HDMI source.
Connectivity is straightforward – the receiver provides one HDMI output and an internal antenna for RF reception. The on-screen display (OSD) and IR remote control simplify setup and configuration on connected displays. HDCP 2.0 is supported when all connected displays and sources are HDCP-capable, and CEC support is available for basic AV device control.
Typical applications include classrooms and meeting rooms that require wireless distribution of presenter content, digital signage deployments needing temporary or semi-permanent screen placement, and corporate environments where avoiding cable runs improves flexibility. The KW-14R handles multi-receiver distribution and multi-transmitter pairing to suit mixed-source scenarios.
Installation is plug-and-play with minimal configuration required and automatic sleep mode for power savings when no link is present. The plastic vented enclosure is cooled by convection and designed for indoor AV racks or stands. Regulatory compliance to RoHS and WEEE and international emission certifications support professional deployment in commercial settings.
