Description
The MFX-12MC-W is a 12 inch coaxial multi-functional monitor engineered to deliver precise reference sound from a compact two-way coaxial design. It is designed to function as a low-profile stage monitor and as a short-throw full-range loudspeaker when required. The cabinet geometry preserves sight lines while maximizing internal volume for extended low-frequency output.
The speaker features a constant directivity waveguide that produces narrow horizontal coverage when used as a monitor and wider coverage when oriented vertically as a short-throw loudspeaker. The coaxial driver and horn assembly can be rotated during installation to change coverage orientation. Factory DSP presets are available to optimize passive or biamp operation for specific roles.
Performance metrics include a frequency response of 62 Hz to 18 kHz (-3 dB) and a maximum SPL of 135 dB, supported by 450 W continuous power handling and 3000 W peak. The axial sensitivity is 97 dB (1 W/1 m) which yields strong output with modest amplifier power. The waveguide and driver interaction produces controlled midrange coverage and improved gain-before-feedback performance.
Connectivity is handled via a recessed input panel that includes Neutrik NL4 input and NL4 loop-through connectors and a passive/biamp selector. The integrated pole cup and side handle recesses accept standard 35 mm poles for quick deployment. Four M10 suspension points and optional mounting accessories provide secure installation options for flown or wall-mounted use.
Typical applications include stage floor monitoring, short-throw FOH duties, front fill and side fill in small to medium venues, and permanent fixed-install roles in theatrical or corporate spaces. The compact footprint and rotatable logo make the MFX-12MC-W suitable where sight lines and aesthetics matter. Factory amplifier presets in Dynacord SONICUE streamline setup for rental and installed sound systems.
Built from 12-18 mm Baltic plywood with EVCoat and protected by a 1.5 mm zinc-plated steel grille, the cabinet balances tour-grade durability with manageable weight. Two ergonomic handles and a low-profile enclosure simplify transport and placement. The rotatable driver assembly and reinforced grille standoff ensure the cabinet endures common stage stresses while maintaining consistent acoustic performance.
