It supplies 30A input power and supports a wide input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC to accommodate global deployments. The unit combines precise energy metering with remote control to improve uptime and energy visibility.
Key features include eight outlets in a 6x C13 and 2x C19 configuration, outlet-level switching, and accurate kWh metering at +/-1 percent. The PDU powers all connected devices in under 10 seconds after plug-in and uses energy-saving relays to reduce standby consumption. A hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker protects loads from overload while maintaining stable distribution.
Performance specifications include a maximum input current of 30A, input power of 7200VA, per-outlet current limits (C13: 15A, C19: 20A), and UL-rated values where applicable. The LCD provides real-time aggregate readings for current, voltage, power and kWh and displays colored alerts for warning, alert or critical events. Firmware upgrades are supported via web GUI or USB to keep functionality current.
Connectivity options include dual Gigabit Ethernet ports for Internet and Intranet segmentation, RS-232 serial communication, and USB WiFi dongle support for network access. An RJ45 sensor port supports daisy-chaining up to eight EA1640 environment sensors for temperature, humidity, airflow, differential pressure, and leak detection. The PDU supports SNMP v1/v2/v3, Modbus over TCP/IP, HTTPS, TLS 1.2 SMTP, NTP, LDAP, RADIUS and TACACS.
The PG8308B is suited to server rooms, network closets, and medium to large data centers that require granular power control and energy monitoring. Users can remotely power on, off or cycle individual outlets or groups, define power-on sequencing and schedule automated actions based on environmental sensor thresholds. Cascading and dual LAN support allow up to 64 PDUs to be managed without additional switches.
Installation is simplified by its 1U form factor, rotatable LCD panel and included NEMA L6-30P cordset. Secure outlet locking prevents accidental disconnection and the unit includes a hydraulic-magnetic breaker and energy-saving relays for reliable long-term operation. The PG8308B delivers precise metering, flexible connectivity and centralized DCIM integration for improved energy management and operational resilience.
