Description
The RS800i-WH is an 8-inch coaxial open-ceiling speaker engineered for commercial audio applications. It provides a broad, consistent coverage pattern and extended low frequency output to support speech and background music. The speaker integrates a low-profile enclosure and grille for discreet ceiling installation.
Key features include an 8.0-inch polypropylene woofer and a 1.0-inch convex titanium tweeter mounted on a cast-aluminum baffle and heat sink. The BroadBeam waveguide tweeter system delivers consistent dispersion up to 10 kHz for improved intelligibility across the coverage area. A six-position tap selector with transformer bypass supports both low-impedance and 25/70.7/100-volt systems.
Performance specifications include a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, sensitivity of 89.5 dB, and a published frequency response of 80 Hz – 22 kHz (-3 dB). The RS800i supports up to 250 W program power and features driver protection circuitry for reliability. Coverage angles are documented across the band to provide predictable room performance.
Connectivity is accomplished via a four-pin 5.08 mm Euroblock connector that supports individual or daisy-chain configurations. The integrated hanging hardware includes galvanized steel cable and a SpeedClamp self-locking cable grip for fast installation. The speaker also ships with a terminal weather boot to protect the input termination.
The RS800i is weatherized for indoor and outdoor use in covered environments and carries UL 1480 and UL 2239 approvals plus CE and RoHS compliance. Typical applications include retail spaces, houses of worship, transportation terminals, and any venue requiring reliable ceiling-distributed audio. Its average sensitivity and efficient motor design reduce amplifier requirements on large systems.
Installation is simplified by the included hanging hardware and a low-profile steel grille with powder-coated finish for lasting durability. The enclosure is injection-molded ABS reinforced with glass fiber for rigidity and acoustic performance. Surface-mount brackets are available as an optional accessory for installations that require alternate mounting methods.
