The RU-LB2P is a 2×2 line-level bi-directional Dante network interface designed to connect professional and commercial analog equipment to Dante audio networks. It converts two Dante receive channels to balanced line-level outputs and converts two line-level analog sources into Dante network channels. The unit supports 24-bit conversion and standard sample rates to preserve audio fidelity across networked installations.
Key features include two balanced line inputs with front-panel gain trimming and dual-LED VU meters, plus two balanced line outputs that present +4 dBu nominal for -18 dBFS network level. The front-panel signal LEDs and network indicators simplify setup and monitoring at remote locations without a connected computer. The RU-LB2P also supports PoE operation and will accept external 24 Vdc power for flexible deployment.
Technically the module provides high-resolution 24-bit ADC/DAC conversion with sample rates of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz and an operating level of -18 dBFS = +4 dBu. Crosstalk is specified below 85 dB across the audio band and common-mode rejection exceeds 60 dB in the critical frequency range.
Connectivity includes an RJ45 Dante network port with link and speed indicators, balanced detachable terminal block inputs and outputs, and dual power connections for external 24 Vdc and PoE. The unit supports IEEE 802.3af Class 0 PoE for normal or hot-standby operation. Physical indicators include output signal LEDs, input dual-LED VU meters, network sys and sync LEDs, and Ethernet link/speed LEDs.
The RU-LB2P is suited to distributed audio applications such as conference rooms, houses of worship, broadcast racks, and AV closets where reliable conversion between analog line-level and Dante network audio is required.
