Description
The RU-LB4P is a 4×4 bi-directional Dante network interface that converts between line-level analog audio and Dante network audio. It provides four balanced line-level outputs from Dante channels and four line-level inputs to Dante. The unit is designed for rack, shelf or surface mounting in commercial AV installations.
The unit supports balanced +4 dBu professional outputs and accepts balanced +4 dBu or unbalanced -10 dBV inputs. Front-panel indicators include a signal LED for each received Dante channel and dual-LED VU meters plus gain trimmers for each analog input. PoE support is included on the RU-LB4P model for normal or hot-standby operation with external 24 Vdc supply compatibility.
Audio conversion is performed with 24-bit A/D and D/A converters and RDL analog filtering to maintain low noise and high fidelity. The operating reference is -18 dBFS = +4 dBu and the device delivers over 18 dB of headroom above +4 dBu. Measured THD+N is below 0.05% and noise is better than -80 dB relative to -4 dBu.
Connectivity includes an RJ45 Ethernet port supporting Dante at 100 Mbps and detachable balanced terminal blocks for all inputs and outputs. Network link and speed indicators are provided on the Ethernet connector and LEDs show network sync status. Power options include PoE Class 0 IEEE 802.3af or a 24 Vdc external supply via barrel jack or terminal block.
The RU-LB4P suits conference rooms, broadcast racks, distributed audio systems and other installations requiring reliable line-level/AoIP interfacing. It integrates with Dante-compatible consoles, DSPs, mixers and matrixes and preserves professional audio levels for seamless system integration. Front-panel meters and signal LEDs speed up system setup when a control PC is not present locally.
The enclosure is all-metal for continuous duty in demanding environments and supports rack or surface mounting. The unit reserves PoE even when externally powered and will automatically switch to PoE on loss of external power. Built and tested in the U.S.A., the RU-LB4P delivers straightforward installation and dependable long-term operation.
