The SM500i-II-WX is a 5.25 inch coaxial surface-mount speaker designed to deliver consistent coverage and reliable low-end response. It pairs a polypropylene woofer and a titanium tweeter on SoundTube’s BroadBeam waveguide to provide smooth on- and off-axis dispersion. The unit is weatherized and built to perform in both indoor and severe outdoor conditions.
Key features include a BroadBeam waveguide tweeter system for consistent dispersion up to 10 kHz and a six-position tap selector for 25/70.7/100 volt operation or transformer bypass. The speaker employs a 5.25 inch polypropylene woofer and a 1.0 inch convex titanium tweeter with FerroFluid cooling to maintain clarity at higher output. Stainless steel hardware and a powder-coated aluminum grille enhance long-term durability in exposed installations.
Performance specifications support demanding commercial audio applications – nominal impedance is 4 ohm, sensitivity is 86.0 dB at 2.83V/1 m and the -10 dB bandwidth extends down to 60 Hz. Power handling is rated at 75 W RMS continuous with 150 W program capability and a maximum SPL of 102 dB at 1 m. Coverage is engineered for even area coverage with averaged 2 to 10 kHz dispersion of 100° horizontal by 100° vertical.
Connectivity is handled via a four-pin 5.08 mm Euroblock for individual or daisy-chain wiring and a six-position rotary tap switch for common line-voltage options. A transformer bypass position supports direct 4 ohm amplifier connections. The included Stealth bracket system and security knob enable unlimited directional aiming while reducing tampering after installation.
