Description
The SWT3-41-U-T is a 4×1 USB switcher transmitter that manages multiple USB hosts and extends USB peripherals over CAT links. It provides automatic host switching based on active USB signal detection to simplify meeting and control workflows. The unit supports USB 3.2 host switching and USB extension to remote devices.
Key features include two USB-C hosts with PD 3.0 support and two USB-B hosts plus multiple downstream USB device ports. The transmitter integrates dual-link USB and LAN extension channels and supports USB 3.2 GEN 2 signaling and USB 2.0 extension modes. It also supplies up to 60W USB-C host charging when powered by the 20V supply.
Performance specifications include USB 3.2 switching up to 10 Gbps between active host and devices and extended USB 2.0 data transfer up to 480 Mbps with transmitted bandwidth up to 300 Mbps. The CAT extension reach is up to 100 m (330 ft) and extended Ethernet runs at up to 100 Mbps. RS-232 and GPIO support enable integrated control and device communication.
Connectivity covers two USB-C and two USB-B host ports and multiple downstream device ports including USB-A and USB-C device connectors. The transmitter also provides a PoE-accepting LAN port, balanced audio input on a 5-pin terminal block, RS-232 on a 3-pin terminal block, and GPIO on a 2-pin terminal block. Local panel buttons, IP control, and contact-closure inputs give flexible control options.
Typical applications include enterprise and education meeting rooms where local or remote cameras, microphones, and peripherals must be shared among multiple host participants. The unit is suitable for connecting PTZ cameras, audio devices, touch panels, and HID devices across extended runs. It enables collaborative switching and centralized peripheral sharing during online sessions.
Installation is simplified with PoE powering via the LAN port, two-way powering to CAT-paired devices, and a half 19 inch 1U form factor for under-table or side-by-side rack mounting. The aluminum enclosure uses fan ventilation for quiet cooling and the device supports remote firmware upgrade and 802.1x LAN authentication. LEDs on the panel assist with local status and troubleshooting.
