Description
The Wireless Tally System is a portable tally solution designed to provide reliable on-camera tally signaling across multi-camera productions. It pairs a wireless host station with eight detachable tally lights that communicate over a 2.4 GHz RF link. The system is engineered to extend tally status up to 2600 ft and maintain low-latency operation for live workflows.
Key capabilities include smart sequence learning for broad switcher compatibility and adaptive frequency hopping to avoid RF interference. The system supports up to 16 channels for future expansion and uses standard tally cabling to integrate with many switcher control outputs. Each tally light features three brightness levels and a detachable lithium-ion battery with extended runtime.
Performance highlights include a transmission range of up to 2600 ft and a measured transmission delay of under 150 ms for responsive on-air feedback. Sensitivity is specified at better than -115 dBm to help maintain links in challenging RF environments. The detachable battery pack delivers approximately eight hours of continuous operation per tally light under typical conditions.
Connectivity includes DB25, RJ45, and USB-C ports on the host station to accommodate a wide range of switcher tally outputs. The sequence learning function detects high or low tally voltage levels so standard tally cables can be used without manual voltage adaptation. Two removable host antennas are supplied and additional antenna accessories are available to optimize reception.
This system suits live broadcast, ENG, OB vans, multi-cam studios, and corporate AV events where clear tally indication and flexible placement are required. The tally lights are compact and lightweight for hand-held cameras or camera cages and include numbered stickers for quick unit identification. The hard-shell carrying case secures the host, lights, batteries, and cables for transport between locations.
Installation is straightforward – connect the host to a switcher via DB25 or RJ45, mount the host station in a central position, power the unit, and pair tally lights using the smart sequence function. The build quality emphasizes durable plastics for field use and user-replaceable lithium-ion packs for fast turnaround. System firmware supports reliable operation and simple field updates when required.
