Description
The ZX3-60B is a 12 inch passive loudspeaker designed to deliver clear high-SPL output in fixed install and touring applications. It pairs a DVX3121 low-frequency driver with an ND2 compression driver to provide extended bass and defined high frequency detail. The enclosure is molded polypropylene that balances low weight with rigging strength.
Key features include a DVX3121 12 inch LF transducer with forced air cooling and an ND2 1 inch exit neodymium compression driver. The unit offers a 60 degree by 60 degree coverage pattern and selectable passive or biamp operation. Monitor angles of 45 degrees and 55 degrees are built in for floor monitoring without accessories.
Performance is tuned for real-world use with a frequency response of 58 Hz to 15 kHz (-3 dB) and a wider range of 48 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB). Sensitivity is 97 dB (1W/1m) and calculated peak SPL reaches 131 dB. Power handling is rated at 600W continuous passive with 2400W peak and biamp allocations of 500W LF and 40W HF continuous.
Connectivity is provided via twin Neutrik Speakon NL4 connectors for secure signal and easy daisy chaining. The cabinet includes multiple suspension points – two anchor plates for single-stud fittings plus additional M8 inserts – enabling flown arrays or permanent installs. The grille is 16 gauge galvanized steel with a rotatable logo to suit portrait or landscape mounting.
This loudspeaker serves a range of applications including FOH in small to medium venues, stage monitoring using the integrated wedge angles, and fill or cluster roles in larger systems. Its 60×60 directivity supports long-throw deployments while maintaining clarity at distance. Available in black or white, the enclosure integrates into a variety of install aesthetics.
Installation and handling are simplified by the lightweight transducer design and molded structural foam enclosure. Multiple rigging points and M8 inserts allow flexible mounting and bracket attachment. The durable grille and enclosure materials provide reliable performance in repeated install and touring scenarios.
