Description
The ZX3-60PI-B is a weather-resistant 12in passive loudspeaker engineered to deliver high output and clear vocal reproduction in demanding environments. It pairs a DVX3121 12″ low-frequency transducer with an ND2 neodymium compression driver to cover a wide frequency range. The molded polypropylene enclosure and hydrophobic grille increase durability and resistance to moisture.
The speaker provides a 60° x 60° coverage pattern optimized for long-throw and clustering applications. Rated at 600W continuous and 2400W peak, it offers a maximum calculated SPL of 131 dB and high sensitivity for efficient amplification. Users can select between two monitor angles – 45° or 55° – when used as a stage monitor without additional accessories.
On the performance side, the ZX3-60PI-B has a measured frequency response of 58 Hz to 15 kHz (-3 dB) and a frequency range to 48 Hz – 20 kHz (-10 dB). The crossover is set at 2 kHz and the nominal impedance is 8 Ohms with a minimum of 6.2 Ohms. Axial sensitivity is specified at 97 dB (1W/1m), delivering predictable levels when designing systems.
Connectivity is handled via a 2-conductor SJO cable and gland nut input that supports permanent installed applications and weather resistance. The enclosure supports biamplification with LF and HF power handling ratings of 500W and 40W continuous respectively. Suspension and rigging options include two anchor plates for single-stud fittings and seven integral suspension points for flexible mounting.
Typical applications include outdoor public address, installed sound in covered venues, and portable live sound where weather resistance is required. The compact footprint and molded enclosure make it suitable for fixed installs and flown clusters. The rotatable logo and available black or white finishes aid aesthetic integration into venues.
Installation is simplified by multiple M8 inserts and forged steel eyebolts for suspension, plus a gland-nut cable entry for weatherproofing. The polypropylene structural foam enclosure and 16GA powder-coated grille balance low weight with mechanical strength. Environmental ratings meet IEC 529 IP24 / IP44 and MIL810 criteria to withstand exposed use.
